After their paths crossed on the 24th of May 2008 on a student tour in the USA, she saw his incredible character, kind heart and mooi spiere ;). It was a done deal for her. He, however, needed a bit more convincing. They saw each other about once a year for about 6 years with emails, whatsapps, phone calls and even Mxits in between. Her heart never changed…neither did his.

After she was placed in East London for community service in 2015, she was hoping some clarity would come. But alas, their friendship struggled all the more. Little did they both know that they actually felt the same way, but personality, timing and setting didn’t help them.

All they needed was a forced trip to Jbay in April 2016 that made the communication barriers break and allow their hearts to eventually unite :)

He knew they would always end up together.  She tried to believe the same, but constantly had to give it over to the Lord.

The Lord grew both our hearts in this time and we believe that when it happened, both our hearts were ready for it. We praise God for bringing us together and giving us the patience to trust in him for the right thing at the right time.
